Full of traditional English charm, The Queens Hotel is a stunning venue on the south coast complete with sea views. A dedicated events team is on hand and a range of function suites are available.
What is now The Queens Hotel was originally known as Southsea House built by the architect Augustus Livesay in 1861. Southsea House was a large private house owned by Sir John and Lady Morris and was later transformed into one of the first hotels in Southsea by William Kemp Junior. The Queens Hotel, under new ownership since early 2017, is being restored to its former glory. Guests are welcomed into a grand lobby by our charming staff as the magic of any visit or stay in The Queens unfolds. Rooms have been recently refurbished to offer luxury and comfort, many with spectacular sea views. Hotel facilities include a restaurant, hotel bars, a large private garden and a luxury Spa coming soon. The Hotel also offers the perfect setting for weddings, special occasions and business events. The Queens Hotel sits on the edge of Southsea Common just a few minutes’ walk from the beach. Southsea Common plays host to a variety of events such as the award winning Victorious Festival and Kite Festival. Within walking distance is the D-Day Museum and Historic Dockyard, home to the Royal Navy and attractions such as HMS Warrior, HMS Victory and The Mary Rose.
