Information For The Golden Hinde

Sail through history aboard the full-size reconstruction of the famous Elizabethan galleon, the first English ship to circumnavigate the globe.

The Golden Hinde has been the backdrop to the love stories of previous crew members and played host to celebrations of love aboard for many years including marriage proposals and the wedding of a couple who had their first date here.
Roddy Coleman, the Director, and Jilly Francis held their unforgettable wedding reception 30 years ago on The Golden Hinde.
Since 1999 couples have been able to have their wedding ceremonies and civil partnerships on the ship providing a unique setting to tie the knot.

The Golden Hinde at a Glance

Max capacity 120 guests in summer across all decks and 80 in winter when lower decks only are used. Capacity of 60 for wedding ceremony. Bar in the hold of The Ship that serves Kernel ales, house wine, spirits and soft drinks. Bespoke cocktail service available. Corkage fee if you wish to drink your own alcohol aboard. PA system available included with all hires to be used to play your own playlist or for djs or bands to use. The Hold is the largest space on the ship, perfect for ceremonies, wedding breakfasts and wedding receptions Great Cabin & Armoury is an intimate space for a beautiful ceremony or guest book The whole ship including is yours for your guests to explore all 5 decks at your own leisure and take photography
